Vulgata
XXI Editorial
|
| Time for a reader survey. When
we started out I knew more than half of the regular Vulgata readers
personally and got lots of feedback on everything we did. Since we
moved the magazine to the web our readership has significantly expanded
but we now have very little idea who reads Vulgata, what they like,
what they don't, and what else they would like to see. Please tell us.
My E-mail address is editor at vulgatamagazine dot org. Here are some
specific things that we are looking at which we would appreciate input
on: 1. I believe it would be possible to bring back the print edition of the magazine by using lulu.com. I need to know if there is a significant number of readers who want this, and what they would be prepared to pay for a print copy of the magazine. 2. Our Sunday Visitor has told us that they will probably want to look at doing another book project with Melinda soon. We would like to know what book our readers would most like to see her write next. 3. Simple Websites with only text and graphics such as our own are increasingly rare. Does Vulgata need to get sound, video, streaming, java, message boards, etc. or are our readers happy with it as it is? 4. We are trying to decide what to do with all of the content that is slowly finding it's way into the Aereopagus University. Should we: a)Keep doing what we're doing, putting it up in pieces in between other jobs b)Drop everything else and finish all the courses imediately c)Seek a publisher for the project and stop putting the material online so as not to discourage them from picking it up d)Leave it for now, concentrate on other work (our novel, Vulgata, etc.) e)Self publish the complete set of courses f)Something else 5. Any and all other input is also appreciated. Thanks, Chris Selmys |
